Mario Recalls Turning Down Jay-Z’s Invite To Perform At Madison Square Garden Because He Had Plans w/ His Girlfriend
Mario is looking back on a moment he wishes he had handled differently.
During his recent appearance on Drink Champs, the singer was asked if there was anything in his career he would’ve done better. He recalled that in the early 2000s, around the time his breakout single “Just a Friend” was released, Jay-Z invited him to come out during his set at Madison Square Garden. But instead of taking the opportunity, Mario chose to stick with the plans he already had with his then-girlfriend.
