Cardi B Is Not Here For People Trying To Pit Her Haircare Line Grow-Good Beauty Against
Beyoncé’s Cécred
There’s enough food for everyone to eat.
Fresh off the success of her newly launched haircare line, Grow-Good Beauty, which sold out within just one hour of its pre-launch, #CardiB is making it clear she’s focused on quality, not competition. During a sit-down with businesswoman Emma Grede, the rapper was asked whether she feels pressure about her line possibly being compared to established, trusted Black-owned beauty brands like Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty, Rihanna’s Fenty Hair, and Beyoncé’s Cécred.
“It’s not even about competition, it’s about what’s going to have your hair growing,” Cardi said. She didn’t hesitate to show love to #Beyoncé’s line, sharing, “I use Cécred, and it’s really f*cking good. It’s very f*cking good.” Still, Cardi made it clear she’s aiming for that same level of excellence with her own products. “That’s what I want, and I’m saying it with confidence. I want people to be like, ‘Yo, her sh*t is really f*cking good.’ I don’t want nobody to complain.” #GrowGoodBeauty dropped earlier this month.
While the site is currently sold out, Cardi has already said that a restock is on the way.
