NBA Star Anthony Edwards Ordered To Pay $14,000 A Month For Son He Admitted He Has Never Met

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been hit with a major child support order involving a son he admitted under oath he has never met.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Edwards must pay his ex, Alexandria Descroches, $14,000 per month for their son, Amir, who was born in 2023. The amount was calculated using the NBA guard’s reported monthly income of nearly $4.8 million.

The court noted Edwards can afford roughly $31,000 per month on food, $70,000 on entertainment and $30,000 on vacations. Descroches reportedly earns about $1,016 monthly and testified that she hopes to finish college to better provide for Amir.

Along with monthly support, Edwards was ordered to obtain a life insurance policy worth approximately $2.6 million, naming Descroches as the primary beneficiary. He must also cover more than $21,000 in her legal fees.

Court documents state Edwards acknowledged he has never met Amir in person and is not seeking parenting time.

The ruling comes after Edwards was previously ordered to pay $3,000 in support to Ayesha Howard for their daughter.

The latest order significantly increases the financial obligations surrounding Edwards’ growing family.
