Rev. Al Sharpton Won’t Apologize After Nolan Wells’ Friends Threat*n Defamation Suit Over Questions About His D*ath: ‘I Will Neither Be Silenced Nor Retract’

Rev. Al Sharpton is refusing to back down as three friends of the late Nolan Wells move toward a possible defamation lawsuit against him.

Sharpton responded Tuesday after Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour, through attorney Tyler Cox, filed an intent to sue letter accusing the civil rights leader of making defamatory statements surrounding Wells’ mysterious d*ath.

Sharpton called the threat*ned lawsuit “meritless,” adding he will “neither be silenced nor retract statements he did not make.”

“This is not going to distract us from the question that brought us here: ‘What happened to Nolan Wells?’ His parents buried their 18-year-old son without knowing how or why he d*ed. They asked me to stand with them, and I will continue to stand with them until they get the answers they deserve,” Sharpton said.

His attorneys argued Sharpton became involved at the family’s request.

“It asks Reverend Sharpton to apologize to three young men for having asked why an eighteen-year-old d*ed. It asks him to retract questions that Nolan’s own mother raised on national television four days before he repeated them. It asks him to delete a prayer vigil.”

Sharpton’s team added defamation “requires a defamatory statement” and said he may seek damages and attorneys’ fees if sued.
