Love To See It! Druski Lands Multi-Year Netflix Deal, Set To Star Alongside Mike Epps In Comedy Series Based On His Viral Megachurch Pastor Sketch

#Druski is taking his viral megachurch pastor character to Netflix!

The comedian has teamed up with #MikeEpps for a new semi-scripted comedy series, “Collect & Praise,” premiering Dec. 1. Inspired by Druski’s popular internet sketch, the show will follow his money-hungry pastor character and Epps, who plays his deacon, as they “scheme their way through scandal, chaos and controversy.” The series marks Druski’s first time turning one of his viral characters into a full-length TV production and is part of a new multi-year deal with Netflix to develop exclusive original content through his 4Lifers Entertainment company.

The partnership will also bring some of Druski’s existing projects to #Netflix, including “Coulda Been Love,” “Coulda Been Daddy” and “Coulda Been Records Auditions,” which, along with his comedy sketches, have collectively racked up more than 1 billion YouTube views. “This partnership with Netflix will give me the resources to build on that comedy foundation and bring my work to a new global audience,” Druski said. Netflix executive John Derderian also praised the comedian, stating, “Druski has a gift for building characters that people can’t stop talking about.” The major deal comes as Druski continues expanding his Hollywood résumé, with an upcoming appearance in the rom-com “The Catch” and a hosting gig on “#SNL” this weekend.
