Nicki Minaj Denies Back-Up Dancer Involvement in Murder, “We do NOT know the men in custody…”
This week, a story circulated that one of Nicki Minaj’s back-up dancers was arrested in connection with a student’s death, after one of Minaj’s concerts. The 23-year-old dancer’s social media pages claim he’s performed in a number of A-list’ers music videos (Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown), etc. E! Online reports that:
an unidentified teenage male—both Americans—have been arrested in Tokyo following the death of Nicola Furlong, a 19-year-old exchange student from Ireland. She and a friend had attended Nicki Minaj‘s show at Zepp Toyko last Wednesday night (local time) and her body was found early Thursday morning in a room at the nearby Keio Plaza hotel, police told the Japan Times.
Meanwhile, Nicki has responded to this case, denying that anyone from her camp was involved. She explained on twitter:
“Saddened to learn one of my precious fans; found tragically murdered in Japan. My love & prayers are with the family of Nicola Furlong…my dancers had nothing to do w/this tragedy. No one in my entourage was questioned or arrested. They all flew home from Japan that person on your sight is NOT my dancer. We do NOT know the men in custody. Too much misleading information.”
No official comment has come from the alleged back-up dancer in question.
