[WATCH] ‘The Real’ Talk Show Builds Momentum, Releases New Promo
Some of our favorite divas are ready to take the talk show world by storm. Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Loni Love are the newest additions to daytime television with their new show, ‘The Real.’ The five hosts will have ‘real’ discussions addressing topics that every day people wonder about. Their slogan is “You Think it. They Say it.” Peep what the cast has to say about themselves in the latest promo:
Tamar:
A lot of people think because they see me on ‘Braxton Family Values’ as the youngest of five sisters, that I’m this brat and I’m just spoiled, but on this show I get to be a woman. I get to give you my real opinion about life, about pop culture and finally be identified as just a regular lady.
Tamera:
I love to be traditional and just because you are conservative or a traditional person doesn’t mean you have to be boring! …The greatest thing about America is it’s diversity and this show reflects that diversity. No matter who you are, there is someone at this table that will be speaking for you.
Adrienne:
It’s so crazy that there’s an entire demographic that we aren’t reaching…. We are Latino Americans, we are mainstream, we speak English, and we want to be able to watch English language television that still represents us.
Loni:
The five of us, we are still trying to figure out our lives…What people are going to find out about me is that I used to be an engineer. I was raised in the Brewster projects. I became an entertainer, and I am still discovering myself.
Jeannie:
You know what really bothers me, the fact that there are so many Asian stereotypes that nobody has stepped forward to break…I have an amazing driving record. I haven’t had a ticket in the last five years. I can’t play the violin to save my life nor the keyboard. I suck at math and I’m proud… So how do you like them wontons?
Aside from their roles as hosts on the newest talk show of Fox television, Tamar is a new mommy to baby boy Logan Vincent Herbert ,with an album due to hit shelves in September. Tamera is also a new mother to baby boy Aden and stars with twin sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict on ‘Tia & Tamera.’ Last month, Adrienne recently launched vegan nail polish line ‘Fingertip Fetish.’ Comedian Loni will be releasing her first book, “Love Him or Leave Him” in July, and Jeannie’s weekly talk show ‘Style Pop’ premiered earlier this month.
