[UPDATED] Radio Personality Mister Cee Hints At Suicide After Resigning From NY’s Hot 97 + Drag Queen Releases Video Allegedly Exposing DJ

After over 20 years on popular New York radio station Hot 97, popular radio personality, Mister Cee has officially resigned. Wednesday morning, we received the following statement:

Due to some personal circumstances that have become public, after 20 years of service, Mister Cee has chosen to resign.  We feel that this is in the best interest of both HOT 97 and Cee’s personal well-being. While we do not endorse the alleged activities, he is clearly facing a personal dilemma that is for him and only him to comment on. We are saddened by his departure; his contributions here at HOT 97 were great and we know him as a friend, a caring individual and significant hip hop advocate. We wish Mr Cee the best and will always consider him a family member of HOT 97. Moments ago, he officially signed off, on the air and will finish out his last show today onSeptember 11, 2013, an already sad day for New York City.

Those familiar with the station and Cee know that for the past two years (and some change) he’s repeatedly been busted for soliciting prostitutes. The New Yorker has publicly admitted that he struggles with an addiction. Earlier this year, he recorded a radio PSA for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, explaining:

I can honestly say I have an addiction, and that’s something I’m going to have to move forward with in my life. Fellas messin’ with two and three women at a time, or even some of you women–women are just as much as cheaters out there. I mean, let’s just be honest man, everybody’s not living a righteous lifestyle out there. Even myself. Your business is your business, as it should be, it’s private and confidential. There are professionals to help you with your situation.

Today, before signing off air, he told listeners:

It’s not a joke, today is my last day on Hot 97. I’m doing what I feel is right for the betterment of the station.

And moments ago on twitter, he sent some alarming messages about his resignation, hinting at suicide:
