Is Lil Mama the Permanent Replacement? Singer Performs ‘No Scrubs’ With TLC + Group Hints That Rapper May Join Them On Next Album

This may just be the beginning of Lil Mama’s new music career. Fresh off her uncanny depiction of  the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in VH1’s hit movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, Lil Mama (born Niatia Kirkland) performed for a second time with the group, last night on ‘Dancing With the Stars’. This time, she performed the hit song ‘No Scrubs’, alongside T-Boz and Chilli. Check out her performance.

After performing at the American Music Awards on Sunday, for the first time with the group,  Lil Mama admitted the performance was breathtaking literally.

During an interview with Billboard she explained,

It’s a phenomenal experience. The girls tried to help me and prep me to preserve my energy and I ran out of breath. I was like, ‘I hope this doesn’t come across on TV crazy. But know it was a phenomenal experience. Their late member, Left Eye, left a legacy and passionate energy with the two of them that they created through out the years. You know they just celebrated their twentieth anniversary as well with their album 20. To be apart of what they’re doing at this time, being that it’s an important time for them, and they asked me to come on board is breathtaking. I can’t even put into words the feelings that I feel.

The ladies also hinted that this may not be the end of their work together, T-Boz said:

We’ve talked about. It’s a possibility. Features with her and maybe a couple of other artists as well.
