[EXCLUSIVE] RHOA Executive Producer Carlos King Speaks Out On Kenya Moore & Porsha Williams Reunion Brawl
One day before the reunion episode aired, theJasmineBRAND.com had an interview with Carlos King, executive producer of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. The TV exec, whose worked on the hit BRAVO show since its inception, spoke candidly about the controversial brawl between Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams.
When asked if he anticipated or seen warning signs that a physical fight would take place, he explained:
No because, again if you watch the show from last season to this season, you saw that these two cast members had issues, from day one. And you saw moments that they were in each others faces –, ‘B this, b that. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.’ And they settled down and they kept it movin’. They should stop letting Kenya bring props! You can’t put objects in someone’s face and not expect them to defend themselves. I would have beat the brakes off her too!

I agree. I think, they added heat to the situation. Putting something in a person’s hand and letting them talk over everyone else is rude. I feel that the producer should do a little investigation into these people storyline before calling them housewives (with so-called boyfriends, “Kenya”)
Kenya Moore was the instigator. She should not be allowed on ANY tv show for many reasons.
Carlos you didn’t tell the truth in your interview. Kenya brought a scepter and bullhorn on the stage, so you knew she was not going to be pointing any finger in anybody face. She brought those props to humiliate Porsha. She deserved more that what she got from Porsha.

I blame Andy Cohen because as host he should have gained control of the interview from the beginning. By allowing Kenya to even use the sceptre and bullhorn to atagonize Porsha was totally and completely unacceptable. He should have known where this was heading. Porsha warned that girl a few times. Also Kenya didn’t even try those intimidation tactics with any of the other girls, she would only try to bully and antagonize Porsha. So bottom line, Porsha was provoked and Andy Cohen did nothing to gain control of the stage by disallowing Kenya’s behavior and use of the items in the first place.
I was thinking the same thing I was watching it. Porsha warned Kenya and EVERYBODY, I’m about to bust this girl upside her head.
The minute she took that stick and threw it on the floor, that should have been a clue to Andy and crew, “OK, this has gone too far, let’s separate these two, and remove these props.”
Kenya is always starting MESS with Kenya and everyone. We call that where I’m from a bully.

After Porsha physically attacked Kenya, and in her own words “blacked out” she started kicking and screaming on the floor “I embarrassed myself” and “I cant believe I did that”. I think Porsha needs the psych evaluation much more than Kenya. Kenya knows EXACTLY what she’s doing.
Andy and the entire cast were aware of the what was about to take place when you put two black frustrated women in the position they allowed Porsha and Kenya to be involved in. They got what they wanted for benefit of the show, ratings! We personally will discontinue to watch the show if Andy cannot control what is happening when he is involved.
We’re all talking about adults right? NeNe knew what was going to go down because she set it all up, pushing Porsha to do something way before the reunion. Porsha should have told Andy or walked before she went to that level.
I think Nene is evil, but is she really evil enough to do something like that?
Andy is the biggest culprit in the entire situation. First, he allowed Kenya to bring props. Second, he should have toned things down before Porsha warned Kenya a third time. Third, security should have been nearby from the moment Porsha (understandably) snatched and threw Kenya’s stick. Fourth, as always, Andy sat there and gloated and smirked before he intervened. Fifth, although his words said he was sorry the incident happened, his face was all lit up with “ratings” painted across it. I think the man is a sociopath just like Kenya. Porsha should never have been placed in that situation, and Andy could easily have prevented it.
Andy acted like an idiot the entire evening saying he was sorry Kenya lost her scepter. He was provoking the incident and he should be the one with the apologies.
Porscha was right in defending herself from Kenya and her props!

Andy Cohen is equally responsible for the brawl that took place on the reunion!!! He ALLOWED Kenya to taunt and taunt Porsha throughout the show!! Equally as gross and wrong is allowing Kenya to humiliate and violate personal space without any reprimand! Andy allowed the scepter to repeatedly be pointed ‘inches’ from Porsha’s face! A megaphone literally feet away from Porsha’s ears that is meant for long distances and noise! Stage props used as weapons! Violence for sure! Aggravated assault! Bullying! Which he found funny!! Really! Now that’s GROSS!!
Porsha provoked Kenya, she called Kenya a slut from the 90 s, rotten vagina, sewer breathe, made reference to her eviction and stated she offered to pay Dbang 15,000 to appear on the reuion. Therefore, she did a great job antagonizing Kenya. When Kenya struck back which is the nature of the reality business, Porsha couldn’t handle it…bottom line.
Kenya is a S$%^ stirrer. She’ll do anything because that is what keeps her on the show. She acts like a monkey and it is the most unflattering thing any woman can do. Bravo says jump and Kenya leaps all over the place.

No. I blame you all for supporting such trash. Take your outrage and don’t watch the remainder of the reunion if you’re really that pïssed.
But you won’t because you love it. You love watching these women degrade each other and call each other whöres. You love Kenya’s antagonizing of these women’s misfortunes. You love the fights that jump off around or towards her. You love it.

Since nebe is trying to get into acting and she started the pillow talk fight. Porsche and Kenya did have some good moments. Yes kenya dont neexd the props, but she had the fan last year. NeNe is ten times the lady that Kenya is. She might have been a little rough around the edges but she’s turned out nicely.

Everything about this situation was wrong. However, if your removing Porsche than Kenya needs to be removed as well. Kenya bullying Porsche and the network supporting it for rating purpose says a lot about whats should and should not be on tv
Team Common Sense: If you hit someone on the job in full view of your boss (Andy Cohen) after he tells you not to, then you get fired. Based on the comments below, Porsha’s actions are everyone else’s fault – Kenya, Andy, producers, megaphone, Kordell, wine, antidepressants etc. Everyone is at fault except the idiot that committed the assault. Porsha is a woman-child and many of these fans are her enablers.

Since when is bullying okay. I’m not condoning Poesha’s reactions but Kenya doesn’t get a pass for her behavior neither. I’m reminded of the bullies in the schools and the poor child who couldn’t take it anymore lashes out in physical violence…then the parents, community, schools and the media rally together to stop bullying…hmmmm. So with that being said violence comes in all forms and sometimes verbal violence is the worst. Let’s all examine ourselves and realize that abuse rather emotional or physical is wrong. I speak for those silent victims who are tormented each and everyday by bullies. Yes Kenya is a bully and she stated that on the reunion show when she said she is the best at it!! Kenya knew exactly what she was doing and unfortunately Porsha reacted. I blame all those who sat on that stage and watched this unfold! We all have a tipping point and so does our children but are we to tell our children that it’s ok when it’s adults who are doing it??

Kenya is wrong. They allowed here to continue to belittle Porsha, and she just got tired of it. The scepter, and blow horn should not have been allowed on stage. She also used it to tell Porsha, you are a dumb ass, that is when Porsha got up, because she was being verbally attacked by Kenya. We call this verbal abuse, where I am from, why is there no standard set for behaviors are these reality shows, then maybe it would not have lead to a fight.
