[EXCLUSIVE] I’m NOT A Thief! 50 Cent Fights Court Case Against Stolen Artwork
Then this week, 50 Cent fired back at the photographs lawsuit claiming he did NOT infringe on her work whatsoever. The rapper does admit that HE himself published the photo in question on his website.
50 Cent explains that Stetson doesn’t own the copyright to her photo and she had assigned the rights to a third party to license or sell. He says that he received consent from the third party to use the picture he put on his blog.
The rap mogul also says that he didn’t willfully use the art knowing it was copyrighted and he had a reasonable belief that he had a right to use the Subject Image. He is asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit against him entirely. Read the exclusive court documents: ORIGINAL lawsuit, 50 Cent’s response.
