We love celebrities who give back! On July 26th, Russell Simmons held his 15th Annual ‘Art For Live’ event. The purpose of the event is to benefit for RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which provides inner city youth across New York City with exposure to the arts. The art exhibit kicked off in the Hamptons.
According to Simmons’ Instagram, this year they raised $2.5 million. While she wasn’t in attendance, his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, donated $1 million to the charity. He excitedly shared the news on Instagram writing:

Sad that @OfficialKimora couldn’t join us, as we honored her for her incredible generosity and her inspiration to us all, but our daughters, Ming and Aoki were excellent giving a speech on her behalf.
