Ear Hustlin’: Did Michael Strahan & Nicole Murphy Break Up Over Prenup?

A few of us are still a bit puzzled by the latest Hollywood couple break-up of Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy. As previously reported, the Hollywood Exes reality star and Hall of Famer announced their split last week. His rep stated:

They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule, it has been hard to maintain the relationship.

Fast forward to the present day and there are reports that something deeper than distance had caused friction in their five year engagement. According to Page Six, their negotiation over money and their prenup is what ended things. A source told the outlet

Nicole was unwilling to sign a prenup, even though Michael has consistently been very generous to her.

Reportedly, the talk show host had been financially supportive when she sued Troy David Stratos for $7 million in 2010, after he allegedly persuaded her to invest all her money overseas. The source continued

She gave Stratos all the money from her divorce with Eddie Murphy. Michael helped her out financially, but she still wouldn’t sign a prenup.

Last month, Nicole told theJasmineBRAND.com in an exclusive interview that she doesn’t feel any pressure to get married.

I’m not under the pressure. It seems like everyone else is. Everyone’s like ‘You all together?’, ‘What’s going on?’ , ‘How come I haven’t seen you post a picture of him?’. And I’m like, ‘It’s none of ya’ll’s business at this point.’ I’m good!

Neither have yet to comment. Nicole has busied herself in the Bahamas working as a celebrity judge, while Michael was inducted into the Hall of Fame, over the weekend.
