(EXCLUSIVE) Tyga Disputes Ex-Business Partner in Legal Battle Over Last Kings Line
friends and they all came up with the idea for Last Kings due to their love of the Egyptian culture. He says Marrero was his personal stylist at the time but the rapper says he brought him on as a founding member of the clothing company.
Tyga says he asked Marrero to come up with a main logo for the brand — which he created and the logo was used to promote the brand.
The rapper says that Marrero was given a percentage of the company and never asked for money for the designs when he turned them in. Tyga says he never agreed to pay him for the designs since he was being paid a part of the money the clothing line brought in. He says that Marrero stepped down from the line in 2012 and since then the rapper has licensed out the designs to Tilly’s to sell products with the logo on them.
Tyga claims Marrero doesn’t own the designs but rather the company does and thus he has no case against him. He is demanding the entire lawsuit be dismissed and Marrero be awarded nothing from his complaint.
