Congrats to Tyler Perry and his long-term girlfriend Gelila Bekele. According to E!, last Sunday, the couple quietly gave birth to their first child, a son named Aman. A source tells the outlet:
Everyone is doing great. They are so happy.
Last September, reports began swirling that the movie director/actor shared news that he was expecting during his 45th birthday party. Later, Tyler confirmed the news at the New York Film Festival, with the Associated Press, telling the outlet:
Good, good. We’re good. Very happy. She’s excited, I’m excited so we’re very happy.
In an interview with Extra, Perry dropped a hinted that they were expecting a boy. When asked what type of father the director/actor will be, he responded:
The greatest gift I’m being given right now is the opportunity to give the little boy in me everything I never had, so that’s what I’m excited about. This beautiful human being that God has allowed to come into my life for me to get to know, because they come with their own personalities, who they are, to shepherd and usher him…
