Kevin McCall: I haven’t seen my daughter in a month. + Clarifies Rumored Wale Herpes Comments [Audio]
Kevin McCall refuses to hold his tongue. After having a messy split with his model girlfriend Eva Marcille, the singer/producer recently had an interesting exchange with rapper Wale [click here for the backstory]. Today, Kevin called into Power 105’s The Breakfast Club. During the conversation, Kevin states that he never said Wale had herpes, but may have perhaps insinuated that he did. He also addresses domestic violence reports allegedly involving him and Eva. Kevin also admits that he and Eva are having co-parenting challenges, noting that he hasn’t seen their daughter Marley in over a month. Check out a few excerpts from the interview.
Saying Wale had herpes:
I never spread a rumor that Wale had herpes. All I said was, ‘I’d never be jealous of a man with herpes. Drop the mic.’ But whoever got offended by it, that’s up to them.
Apologizing to Wale:
I’ll just be real you know. I got a call from him and he came at me respectfully. So I felt like, the bigger high road thing to do was to just apologize. To not make it bigger than what it needs to be.
What triggered fall-out:
I just been going through it with my baby. I miss my baby. I feel like Wale, is one of my colleagues … so I feel like with us, going through our stuff, our private life — she shouldn’t be doing stuff like that. You know what I mean? And as for him, I didn’t say anything about him.
