Nicki Minaj & Ex Boyfriend Safaree Samuels Have Unfinished Business: I’ll always love you.

Breaking up is hard to do. Especially when you’ve been in a relationship for an extensive amount of time. Just ask rapper/singer Nicki Minaj and her ex-boyfriend Safaree ‘Scaff Beezy’ Samuels. Over the weekend would have been their 11 year anniversary. With this in mind, Minaj sent the subliminal tweet:

I’ll always love you

She quickly deleted it, but not before Safaree sent a subliminal tweet responding:

Im not gonna front like I dnt kno [sic] wat [sic] today woulda been I hope ur happy and wish u nothing but the best … luv u 4ever. no love lost.

Minaj later tweeted

Please stop

Either to Safaree’s tweet or to fans tweeting her about their relationship. In either case, both deleted their subliminal sentimental moments, but not before folk caught them in action.

To date, their split has been a bit on the messy side.

Meek Mill, Minaj

While both have moved on (Minaj is dating Meek Mill and Safaree is believed to be dating video model ‘Sophia Body’) they’ve both spoken about their split in interviews and social media.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Safaree explained why their relationship ended:

It just got to the point where the respect was gone. You know, I don’t want to get too deep into all of that. It’s just everyone around her works for her…It got to the point where it was like, I’m your man, I’m the one you go to sleep with every night. I’m who you wake up with every morning. It got to the point where, I was being treated like an employee. Instead of like her man. After awhile, I’m like ‘alright’.

And Minaj has been just as open, telling Angie Martinez last December:

I don’t think people realize it’s not just a relationship or breakup. That was a humongous part of my life…It is something that I am dealing with publicly and it’s not easy. I’m also not gonna joke about it or try to disrespect him and try to act like he didn’t mean the world to me and still doesn’t mean the world to me. I’m just figuring it out.
