(EXCLUSIVE) Rick Ross: ‘I Didn’t Steal Jay Z Photo for Our Music Video’, Blasts Photographer’s Lawsuit
Djerrahian claimed that he then saw Rick Ross’ music video for his song, “Movin Bass” which is a collaboration with Jay Z and he said his photo was used in the montage of Jay Z’s success without his permission nor was he paid a dime. He filed suit demanding all profits made from the music video and an injunction ordering Rick Ross to cease using his work without consent.
Then on July 27th, Ross fired back at the photographers lawsuit calling it a bunch of nonsense. The rapper explains that the man is suing him for allegedly infringing on his copyright, yet he doesn’t even own a valid copyright for the photographer of Jay Z. He says that the image was licensed property and before he used it in the music video, he obtained an oral agreement for the rights.
Rosss claims that the photographer is lying about being damaged because he used the picture in his video and is demanding the entire case be thrown out of court and the man awarded nothing.
