Gilbert Arenas Apologizes For Criticizing Dark Skinned Women

Gilbert Arenas has apologized for the comments he made about dark skinned black women. Taking to social media, the former NBA baller explained that he misinterpreted what he read, which resulted in him making comments that were wrong and insensitive. He also adds that he was trying to defend all shades of black. He writes:

I never say sorry for the sh*t I say but it’s my fault I read this wrong and got into my feelings…I thought it was saying,if ur mixed ur not considered black and beautiful and my kids are mixed and dark skinned so I perceived it how I wanted to..I just got off the phone with the only women who tells me when my shit stinks,and I know it’s comes from the heart becuz she will defend me in front of everyone else and cuss me out when we’re alone @christyarenas she reread what it said (your African features are all the attractiveness u need) so I erased to kinda say sorry but not say sorry becuz u can’t truly blame me for reading it wrong (I went to public school) so I read it how I thought it was written….I f*cked this up so I deserved the hatred that comes….I was trying to defend all shades of black but that’s what the post was also doing…I ended up pulling a COON moment…sorry all shades of black women no need to forgive me Im pretty sure I’ll say some f*cked up shit probably in two weeks ?? (I know p*ssy prices about to double up on my *ss from black women ?) and as for lupita she ain’t cute to me sorry…just like I’m not cute to 95% of u…

I don’t know why he doesn’t think he isn’t “cute” to black women. He is a handsome brother who as he put it had a “coon moment?”, the problem is he has had so many of them publicly. Just like Tyrese apologizing in the other post, brittle your tongue and don’t be like the fools who utter everything that’s on their minds and remove all doubt if they’re? in fact fools or not. To have to beautiful dark skin brothers apologizing back to back is embarrassing and saddening to see. If only they’d kept it to themselves.

So, what he is saying is that he defended his “mixed” children by putting down dark skinned women?? Get out of here. I was not born yesterday. He messed up when he began with “how dark are we talking??” It had nothing to do with him thinking the post was putting down his “mixed” children.

I too am a product of a public school education, lame, tired sorry excuse and being ashamed of who you are and how you look is just sad Gilbert. Your mixed children? Mixed with what? Did you procreate with another species?
We we never get passed this color issue that we keep permeating among ourselves, WAKE UP!!!
