Nicki Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj, is speaking out addressing the latest reports surrounding her son, Jelani. Over the weekend, footage went viral of a prisoner being jumped by other prisoners in jail. Here’s the clip of the incident.

It was widely speculated that the man being attacked was Jelani. However, Carol denies that the person in the video circulating is her son. She posted on social media,

Hi guys, this is a big hoax. I just saw my son. Don’t let them waste your enjoy anymore. Be blessed.

Jelani is currently in jail, for being convicted of predatory sexual assault after being charged with repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl at his Long Island home.
