At the start of the year, Nicki Minaj took a break from social media, but many may not remember that -considering the way she utilizes the platforms now. Whether it’s flirting with Eminem, something the two rappers started doing last month, giving sneak peeks into her recording sessions with Future, who thinks her upcoming release is a classic! Nicki Minaj keeps her fan’s on the edge of their seats waiting for information on her upcoming album.

Minaj (real name Onika Tanya Maraj) burst on the national scene back in 2009 after signing with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment. The Trinidadian-American rapper and R&B singer-songwriter has a net worth of $75 million. She is a superstar. Excitement has been building for her fourth album. The lead single “Chun-Li” recently cracked the top 10 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking her 30th time doing it. She is the woman with the most top 10 hits on the chart, surpassing Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige, each with 29.

Last week, Minaj was announced as a performer at the BET Awards airing June 24th. Only a few days later, news broke that Minaj is slated to headline September’s “Made In America” Festival alongside ex-boyfriend Meek Mill and Post Malone. 

The multi-platinum recording artist surprised her over 87 million Instagram followers last night when she revealed the cover of her “Queen” album. The project, which Minaj says is her greatest work to date, will be released on Friday, August 10th. Pre-orders will begin next week and Nicki tells fans to expect a new single as well. The sexy “Queen” album cover, was shot by the legendary fashion photographers Mert Alas And Marcus Piggott, who have over 20 years in the game, giving Nicki a very eye catching and memorable cover. The revealing cover features Minaj scantly clad but powerful. The build-up to her fourth album is setting the bar very high.
