Drake Sues Woman Who Said She Was Raped & Impregnated By Him: She Tried To Extort Me!

As many spectators of Drake have noticed how he’s squashed his problems through rap beefs and petty Instagram posts, he has recently taken an alternative route to dissolve his latest issue; this time, it’s the legal way. The rapper has filed a lawsuit against a woman named Layla Lace.

Here’s the backstory: In February 2017, Drake met Lace at his concert in Manchester, England for his Boy Meets World tour, and after his show, they allegedly had unprotected intercourse. In April 2017, Lace leaked text messages between her and Drake claiming after she told the rapper she was pregnant, he went ghost. She went on SiriusXM detailing how her and the “God’s Plan” rapper had unprotected sex and he was allegedly the father of her unborn child. After relaying the news, Lace says the phone calls and communication between the two of them stopped. She shared a lengthy Instagram caption about her dealings with the artist, as well. She wrote,

So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone !!!! One lesson i have learned out of this whole situation is to never be so naive when a guy disrespect you !!! Like you dont even have to do nothing wrong to this man its really unbelievable how he will just feed you with lies and hurt you for NO reason.Once you forgive and accept it just know he @champagnepapi will continue to treat you like sh*t !!! i should of ran for the hills but no i felt for the “Good Guy” image that this ass hole portrayed to be.What a #Fraud I feel so stupid !!! I never told this man “No” I did everything he told me to do Smfh !!!! (((NEVER))) asked him for a dime !!! cause i got my own bread whatever he did for me he did it on his own !!!

Here’s the latest: According to new reports, Drake is suing Lace for emotional distress, civil extortion, fraud, defamation, and abuse of process. According to the suit, filed by Larry Stein, during their time in Manchester,

Layla voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex.

But following Lace’s rant, the suit claims, she went on to hire a lawyer in May 2017, and demanded money for their alleged baby and that she would threaten him with defamation. As she attempted to continue with legal action, her and her lawyer went quiet after she refused to take a paternity test. Which led Drake to assume she’s trying to scam her way into his pockets.

There is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last Fall.

In addition to that, the suit says Lace tried to switch her strategy by going to the authorities in New York, alleging Drake had raped her during their one-night stand. She took it a step further by hiring a new layer and demanded more money, and warned she would be taking her rape story public. The case sent over to Manchester, England where Drake was questioned by police and cleared of the rape allegation.

Drake has presented text messages within the lawsuit that detail Lace confessing her admiration for the rap star, alluding to a “fantasy relationship” that the suit claims, she created. When Drake allegedly could not find the “time or energy to respond,” that caused Lace to become hasty in her actions.

The rapper is seeking unspecified damages.
