Kathy Griffin Defends Tiffany Haddish After NYE Disaster Performance: “Ignore the haters!”

Our girls always have our backs! Comedienne Kathy Griffin has a mouthful for the media after “Girls Trip” star Tiffany Haddish was criticized for a less than stellar New Years Eve performance. Tiffany was heckled and booed for her recent awkward performance in Miami. She stumbled so noticeably that she journeyed into the audience and started drinking with them to get through it.

Kathy Griffin wants Tiffany and other outlets to know that the best comics have all bombed a show at some point. She offered this encouragement for Tiffany on Twitter:

“This is the price of fame when you’re a comic. I was so lucky that there wasn’t a Snapchat/IG when I was starting out on my first big tour. No REAL comic never bombs.”

She continued:

“You are a hilarious, incredible talent @TiffanyHaddish and I can’t wait to see you live! Ignore the haters!”

Kathy Griffin also let TMZ have it for posting the footage of Tiffany’s performance. She feels that the outlet makes a habit of targeting minorities. Kathy tweeted:

“F*ck You. You’re always there to attack women and people of color, aren’t you? When’s the last time you wrote a negative story about Trump? You’re a bunch of f*cking hacks and @TiffanyHaddish is a (queen’s crown emoji)”

Lastly, the Emmy award-winning comedienne challenged fellow comic Marv Woodson. He tweeted:

“Tiffany Haddish is the black Amy Schumer”

Kathy responded:

“Please don’t do this. Where is your anger against all the guys who are trying to bring back Louis CK? @TiffanyHaddish @amyschumer aren’t your punching bags”

Kathy Griffin isn’t shy about lending her opinion – solicited or unsolicited – to other comedians in the news. She challenged Kevin Hart’s lack of political jokes earlier this year. She said:

“…if you want to not hear about Trump at all, go see Kevin Hart. He doesn’t even mention Trump. I personally think that’s a p***y move because he’s a black man. But I guess he’s selling more tickets than I ever will.”
