Daniel Caesar Refuses To Apologize For Accusing Black Of Being Mean To White People – ‘I’ve Never Thought More Highly Of Myself’
Daniel Caesar isn’t letting the backlash against him take back his comments on African Americans.
The singer went on a mini Twitter rant Thursday. While it seemed as if he regretted his comments, he made sure to let his followers and critics know that wasn’t the case.
“Y’all want me to hate myself so bad that’s why you keep telling me how ugly and stupid I am but tbh I’ve never thought more highly of myself lmao. But I’m coming to understand this is a losing battle not worth fighting, also I can’t be 100% sure but I feel like 60% of you are bots cuz I be seeing some of the dumbest s*** said on here. So I’m gunna shut up from on but I DO NOT APOLOGIZE. Cuz you guys didn’t convince me. Screenshot these tweets cuz my publicist is gunna make me delete soon and she’s a strong black woman so I’m gunna listen to her tbh”
Caesar’s tweets are after he shared his controversial views on how Blacks treat Whites.
“Why are we being so mean to Julz?”
he said, referencing the criticism Yes Julz received after blasting Karen Civil, Scottie Beam and Joe Budden.
“Why are we being so mean to White people right now? That’s a serious question. Why is it that we are allowed to be disrespectful and rude to everybody else, and when anybody returns that type of energy to us…that’s not a quality. I don’t want to be treated like I can’t take a joke.”
