Kandi Burruss Will Leave ‘RHOA’ If Phaedra Parks Returns
Kandi Burruss said it’s either her or Phaedra Parks for Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Burruss had no shame in saying that she would leave the show if her best friend turned arch nemesis made a comeback for season 12.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club Tuesday, Burruss said she would absolutely leave if Parks returned. She said that while rumors that she called the network about it are false, she admitted that she did actually tell someone she would be out if Parks came back in.
“In real life… If somebody says to you or says about you that you tried to drug somebody and sexually assault them… and it comes back that person was lying on you, would you want to work with that person? That’s how I feel about it. That’s kind of scary to me. Because in the future when things are happening, you don’t even know why it’s happening. But then you find out it’s a person off in the corner that’s been doing all these things. That could happen again. And they could do it better next time because then they know not to tell anybody else that could really let the cat out the bag.”
As for their fallout, Burruss and Phaedra’s friendship went on a downward spiral after she was outed for spreading rumors about Burruss. Their co-star, Porsha Williams confronted Burruss during an argument in season nine, and said that she heard Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, wanted to drug Williams and sexually assault her.
When Williams was asked about the rumor during the reunion special weeks later, she revealed it was Parks who told her. Parks alleged that Burruss herself said that she and Tucker had the plan to drug Williams. Interestingly enough, that marked Parks’ last day on the show.
But now, reports have swirled that she’s coming back.
