As previously reported, Jason Mitchell, who played Brandon on the hit Showtime series, was let go from the show amid accusations of inappropriate behavior. He was also fired from an upcoming Netflix comedy Desperados and was dropped from his management company.

Most recently, it was also reported that Mitchell’s co-star sexually harassed his co-star, Tiffany Boone, who played his onscreen girlfriend, Jerrika.

Boone has remained silent about the accusations, but word is she requested to be released from the show, and didn’t feel comfortable filming scenes with him without her fiance, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, present.

Still, based on Waithe’s subtle reaction, The Chi will be just fine despite the drama.
