LaLa Anthony To Join Beverly Hills 90210 Reboot

LaLa Anthony To Join Beverly Hills 90210 Reboot On Fox!
Major congrats to LaLa Anthony! The Power actress has another role to put on her resume. She has joined the cast of the upcoming reboot of Beverly Hills 90210. She’s the first cast member who wasn’t on the original in the 90s! Other returning stars include Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Shannen Doherty and Jason Priestly.
The series return will feature their characters’ lives 19 years after the show ended in May 2000.
As for Anthony’s character, she’ll play Green’s character David Silver’s wife, Shay, who is a hip-hop/pop star, named Shay.
She’s described as the money maker of the family as Green’s character takes care of their three children. She’s said to be in the spotlight but still down to earth. This is certainly a switch considering the original show ended with Silver marrying Spelling’s character, Donna Martin in the finale. But in The CW’s reboot with new characters, Donna said she and David had gone their separate ways shortly after they welcomed their daughter.
Anthony also shared the news on social media.
“90210 IS BACK!! I’m honored to be joining the cast of 90210??It’s gonna be crazy! Excited to play the wife of the original Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green????Let’s gooooo!!??”
Anthony has also appeared in BET’s The New Edition Story and Fox’s Star. BH90210 premieres on Fox Aug. 7 at 9 p.m. ET.
