Terry Crews Says ‘White Chicks 2’ Is Happening, But Marlon Wayans Says ‘Um… NO! We Still Don’t Have A Deal In Place’
Terry Crews might have to pump the brakes on announcing the highly-anticipated sequel to the hilarious film White Chicks. The actor confirmed that it’s happening, but his co-star Marlon Wayans had a different side.
He wrote,
“My face when @terrycrews tells the world #whitechicks2 is happening but we still don’t have a deal in place… now every fanworld wise dms excitedly “IS THIS TRUE”?! Um… NO! Not yet. #ohterry“
His message came after Crews told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that part two of the movie is a go.
Crews said,
“I actually got with Shawn [Wayans] and he was like ‘man we’re doing it, we’re getting it going… [it was] 15 years ago. As of this month, 15 years. I’m staying in shape just for that movie. I’ve been working out for 15 years just so we can do ‘White Chicks 2.'”
It looks like he’ll have to keep working out a little longer.
Meanwhile, Marlon happily celebrated the 15th anniversary on Instagram, crediting the film as his favorite movie.
“Happy 15th bday to my favorite movie #whitechick it’s still watched and loved 15 years later. We had fun with gender, race, class and funny situations with great characters. This movie holds up over time. the fans worldwide embraced this movie and have coined it a classic. My brothers and i smile knowing that we made something that will have people laughing forever. This movie warrants a sequel. The fans deserve it. This will always be my favorite movie. Everytime i hear “a 1000 miles” i smile #branquelas .”
