Chance The Rapper Poses W/ Beyonce & Blue Ivy, Reveals His Full Circle “The Lion King” Moment
Hakuna Matata! Lion King fanatic, Chance The Rapper (real name Chancelor Bennett) revealed new insight of the soon-to-be father of two full circle experience with the highly anticipated, live-action remake of the original ‘The Lion King’ moment on Wednesday. After watching the private premiere on Tuesday, Chance took to Instagram to share his story. He writes,
“Here’s a short story. I grew up my whole life obsessed with all things related to The Lion King; like all three films, the Timon and Pumbaa tv show, the broadway play and especially the broadway soundtrack. Needless to say the original film was immensely impactful on my music and overall life. So when my big bro Donald got casted as Simba, he did the coolest thing ever and told director Jon Favreau to call me in as a consultant to keep the original flavor.”

He adds his experience with working along side the director by creating some lines for the film.
“So for about a year I would go to the LK studio and see early animations, scenes, music direction or assemblies and they’d always be out of this world amazing. One day I’m there Jon asked me to do some singing stuff, another day he asks me to do some lines. Its all a blur, but I’ll tell u its one of the best blurs of my whole life. I am so blessed to know people like Donald and Jon man.”

After watching, Chance says he was very pleased by the final cut of the movie.
“AMAZING FILM, AMAZING CAST AND AN AMAZING NIGHT LAST NIGHT. GOD BLESS AND LONG LIVE THE KING.”
In one photo, the rapper proudly displayed his credit in the film as his name appears two rows before Beyoncé. According to the photo, Chance will star as “Bush Baby,” which is a Galagos, a small monkey usually seen at night.

As previously reported, Chance is having an amazing summer as he announced at the end of June, his Aunt Toni, who has been battling a serious health issue with her kidney officially found a donor. The Chicago rapper took to Twitter to give a quick update as he is preparing the release of his next album in July. He writes:
“I know I’m supposed to be promoting this preorder but today my auntie Toni found a perfect match kidney donor and I just gotta say I serve a promise keeping God! THANK YOU JESUS.”
