Lamar Odom’s Girlfriend Says ‘He Was Never In A Position To Be Someone’s Husband, He Was Sick’

Lamar Odom and his girlfriend Sabrina Parr opened up about his past and why Parr decided to date him. Odom was married to Khloe Kardashian from 2009-2016. During that time he cheated on the reality star and went through nearly-fatal drug addiction.

Odom also explained why he believes Parr gave him a chance in light of his rocky past.

“Sometimes pain attracts women… the pain that I’ve been through.”

But Parr chimed in and said that was from the truth.

“That wasn’t my story. I was not attracted to the pain and the drama. You have to meet people where they are. He was never in a position to be someone’s husband. He was sick. He needed to heal, he needed to grieve. He experienced a lot of losses and he never had time to go through that. So I knew with my resources and my personality and my attitude, I can help him. And initially, a woman is a helpmate. If I’m not helping him then I’m hurting him. You know, heal your heart and your mind first and let’s see what you can become.”

As for whether Odom is a victim of the rumored Kardashian curse where successful men have a major downfall after dating a member of the famous family, Odom said,

“Hell no. I’m here, I’m alert, I’m present. I knew what I was getting myself into. They always did right by me.”

A manager for Odom and Parr, Zoul El Fassi, also told theJasmineBRAND in an exclusive interview that there’s no truth to the Kardashian curse.

“Lamar has tremendous love for the Kardashians. They have been his family since they got married and even after. Lamar had a hard life and never really felt the love of a family and home since his mother and grandmother passed away. The Kardashians gave that to him and it was real. The love between Khloe and Lamar was real. This whole conspiracy about the Kardashians putting curses on men is a made-up fairytale of people that maybe couldn’t accept Lamar’s love was for Khloe.”

They added,

“Lamar is trying to build something that is close to what he shared with Khloe. He is just trying to move on. Sabrina has had an amazing influence on him and I really welcomed her into his life. He started to fall in love with life. We need to support and respect that.”
