Kim Kardashian Reacts To Backlash For Working With Donald Trump On Prison Reform
It’s no secret that anyone who shakes hands with President Donald Trump is at risk of getting canceled with no question. And Kim Kardashian put herself in the line of fire when she went to speak with Trump about prison reform, and specifically when it came to going to Trump with help to get a woman named Alice Johnson released from jail last year.
Johnson had been serving more than 20 years before Trump granted her clemency thanks to Kardashian.

Kardashian, who has gone to help more people get released, said she had to put her feelings toward Trump aside to help push the prison reform movement.
“You know I definitely was aware, but for me, any of my issues have always been more about the people and not about the politics. So for me to think that I couldn’t go and speak to the man who has the power to change people’s lives because of some opinions I may have of certain policies and issues to me, felt very self-centered that I was more worried about my reputation than saving someone’s life.”
She added,
“I put that all out the door and I thought, ‘You know what? I’m gonna choose her over my reputation.'”
She said when it comes to prison reform as a whole, she’s heard that Trump wants to do even more.
See it at the 4:37 mark.
