H.E.R Reps Oakland In New Video For “Slide” Ft. YG
Grammy award winning singer H.E.R. (real name Gabriella Wilson), takes a piece of her hometown into her latest video, “Slide,” featuring rapper YG, under the direction of Mike Ho. In the video released on Thursday (Oct. 17th), the singer serves as a love letter to the Bay Area, paying homage to her hometown.


The singer takes a tour around the West Oakland area including, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, as well as a nod to the area’s lowrider culture.

In a recent interview, H.E.R. discussed representing the 510 area.
“Proud to represent my roots being from the Bay Area! I’ve always wanted to ghost ride the whip and it’s the perfect song to get hyphy! Shout out to the best side and YG!”

The singer, recently took home two awards during this year’s Grammy’s. She won for ‘Best R&B performance’ and ‘Best R&B album.’ The I Used To Know Her: Part 2 single, “Hard Place” peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
