Kanye Bonds With His Father In Wyoming For ‘Follow God’ Video
Kanye West released his latest music video that features who the rapper calls his best friend, Ray West, his father. In the video for “Follow God,” released on Friday (Nov. 8th), Kanye takes his father on a small snow adventure in the deep mountains of Wyoming under the direction of Jake Schreier.

The video opens up with the music mogul and Ray in a touching father-son duo moment, walking in the depths of open field. Both wore camel-colored snowsuits as they walk along a snowy mountain side.
As they continue to walk closer, Pastor Dr. Kerwin B. Lee begins the video saying,
“What does it really mean to follow God? Like as I stand here today I’m reminded of the first time my children ever got an opportunity to be in snow. And when we walked outside in the snow, they were very fearful in terms of the steps that they would take.”

His father kept a more classic snow, look pairing his snowsuit with yellow gloves, a white hoodie, burgundy cap and sunglasses. While the 42-year-old rapper and fashion designer took a more fashionable twist wearing a white vest matched with an orange hoodie.
Kanye debuted “Follow God,” on his latest album Jesus is King which he recently released last month, Oct. 25, nearly one month after its anticipated release date. As previously reported, the album gives Kanye his ninth consecutive No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.

In the video, the rapper and his father have grown closer together as they enjoy a day out with Kanye’s ATVs. So much, Kanye ends his visual with a summary of their time together in Wyoming. It read,
“It took me 42 years to realize that my dad was my best friend. He asked me, ‘How many acres is this?’ I told him ‘4000.’ He replied with these three words: ‘A black man?’”

The Grammy award winning rapper’s father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the summer of 2018. Ray has since overcame his illness according to reports.
