Whitney Houston & Robyn Crawford Plotted To Pull Up On Wendy Williams & Confront Her
It’s no secret Wendy Williams and Whitney Houston had their differences back in the day.
And Whitney Houston’s best friend Robyn Crawford said they were ready to confront Williams, who was a radio host back then. Robyn Crawford explained this to Wendy Williams, while promoting her book A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston. Crawford revealed,
“[After] a long day’s work, we’d get in the car, the radio was on … everyone lived by the radio back then. We’re in the car and you’re like … talking like you lived with us, like you’re roommates with us.”
She went on to say that Houston wasn’t a fan of what Williams had to say.
“We’d be in the car and Whitney would be like, ‘Who is she? Who is this woman? I don’t even know what she looks like!’ Our plan was to go down to Hudson Street … waiting for you right outside.”
Williams said,
“Robyn, I can’t even fight! I would’ve run!”
But Crawford told her,
“We weren’t going to fight — we just wanted to see you face-to-face and have a chat.”
She also spoke on that iconic interview between Williams and Houston and said by that point, Houston was “fed up.”
Crawford said,
“You had been talking about Whitney and myself for so long.”
Williams pointed out that her claims about Houston and Crawford being intimate back then are confirmed in Crawford’s book A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston.
“That’s what I do, and it all came true! It’s in the book. A lot of things that I said are in this book.”
Despite their differences, Williams got pretty emotional when Houston died on Feb. 11, 2012. See her reaction on her show.
