Along with being an award-winning actor and comedian, Eddie Murphy is a proud father 10. And we can only imagine the responses people get when they find out how many kids he has.

Speaking Ellen DeGeneres earlier this week, Eddie Murphy opened up about how men and women respond differently when discovering he’s a father of 10, with children ranging from one to 30.

“It’s funny the reaction the audience gives. Men kind of look at me like, ‘That’s crazy. How much did that s*** cost?’ And women, it’s kind of something sexy about it. ‘Murphy must be doing his thing. Murphy be getting it in. He don’t be bullsh***in.”

He also spoke on recently welcoming his first grandchild.

“I like it. I’m happy…”

The mother of the youngest is his fiancée Paige Butcher. They also have daughter Izzy, 3, together.

He welcomed his oldest Eric, 30, with Paulette McNeely. Nicole Murphy is the mother of his daughters 30-year-old Bria, Shayne, 25, Zola, 19, Bella, 17 and 27-year-old son Miles.

His 29-year-old son, Christian’s mother is Tamara Hood. He also has a 12-year-old daughter Angel with singer Melanie B of The Spice Girls.

While he stars in the upcoming sequel of Coming to America, he recently said his family is one of the reasons he wanted to focus on stand-up comedy instead of acting.

“What I like to do more than anything is just be home with my family, chilling. It’s really easy to feel like you’re working when you make a movie. You’ve got to get up at five, six in the morning. I started making movies when I was 20 years old, when I made 48 Hrs. That’s f***ing 38 years. You’ve been on a movie set, you see how this s*** is. It’s not a fun process.”
