Thomas Markle Threatens A Major Interview Every Month Until Meghan Markle Contacts Him, Tells Prince Harry: “Man Up And Fly Down And See Me!”

Meghan Markle‘s 75-year-old father, Thomas Markle, will not let up on his relationship with the media until Meghan agrees to see him. Since their globally publicized Royal Wedding in May of 2018, former Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been estranged from her father, Thomas. Immediately afterwards, she reportedly cut off all contact from her sickly father, in which he responded by granting multiple interviews to the media. Thomas Markle is now returning to his former antics in hopes of getting Meghan’s attention. In a recent sit-down with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid for “Good Morning Britain,” he threatened to talk to the media once a month until his daughter reaches out to him:

“If after this interview, if I don’t hear from somebody in 30 days, I’ll give 30 days and I’m going to try again, because 30 days is enough time to get back to me. I don’t want to sit in silence in my living room for the rest of my life, waiting for someone to call me back or get in touch with me.”

He added:

“I love my daughter, I’d love my grandson, and I’m sure I’d love Harry if I met him…It’s silly. It’s gone on for too long. I would like to make peace with Meghan and Harry. I am at their mercy, if they want to get in touch with me I’m sure it won’t be a problem…I will always hope we can come together at some point – but the break from the royals is causing problems and what I’m saying will causing problems but I’m really disappointed at what is going on. I’m disappointed as a grandfather, that I’ve never met my grandson, and I miss my daughter.”

Thomas Markle has, also, attempted to contact his ex-wife – Meghan’s mother, Doria:

“We have had no conversations, so obviously she [Doria] is avoiding me or has been told to.”

In one of his more controversial statements, he feels that Harry’s and Meghan’s departure from the Royal Family is “an embarrassment:”

“I think they’ve hurt the Queen. I think they’ve hurt the royals – and it just doesn’t work to be going to another country and serving England. It’s never going to work. I’m a little embarrassed and feeling very sorry for the Queen…They are cashing in on the Sussex name. They’ve gone commercial. They should be just called Harry and Meghan now. Leaving the Royal Family is the dumbest thing they could have done. I don’t think they thought this out. It’s almost an abdication…They’re doing exactly what they told me I shouldn’t be doing.”

Thomas also seems to think Meghan’s claims of being racially bullied by British media are far-fetched:

“I’m having trouble buying that. There’s never been a problem with Meghan in terms of her race. I think England is far more liberal than the US, I don’t think she is being bullied in anyway, or any shape, because of racism.”

Lastly, Thomas Markle shared his last messages to both Harry and Meghan:

“I’d say I love you and let’s sit down and work this out. She was the closest thing to me for years and years and years, until she went off to college and even then…[I’d tell Prince Harry,] Man up and fly down to see me. And we’ll talk…This is ridiculous. We should get together.”
