As you know, Gayle King received backlash while posing a question during an interview to former WNBA star Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant’s 2003 sexual assault charge.
Charles Barkley says,
Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest basketball players ever, and he had a flaw that we all know about. You have to tell the picture in totality.
He also referred to Kobe Bryant’s sexual assault case that happened when he was 24.
“We’re not trying to make Kobe out to be no hero. We’re celebrating his basketball excellence. We understand what happened in Colorado. That’s fair. But two things can be true.”
As previously reported Kobe Bryant died last month, at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash. His daughter Gianna, 13, and seven others tragically died.
Kobe and his daughter were laid to rest. A memorial will take place for them this month.
