Update: Tinashe Says “It Was A F*cking Joke” After Being Accused Of Shading 6-Year-Old North West

Tinashe has been quiet in the media, but now she’s making headlines for possibly dissing a six-year-old.

Tinashe chimed in on the drama between Kim Kardashian and the parents of five-year-old entertainer ZaZa. 

It started when Kim Kardashian shared footage of her six-year-old daughter North West performing at her dad, rapper Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 8 fashion show in Paris. Swipe to see her performance

ZaZa’s parents then took to her Instagram page to call out Kim Kardashian for failing to credit the child star for the ZaZa-inspired performance.

They wrote,

“in July of 2019, ZaZa & her dad went into the studio for the ultimate experience! To finally begin making the music she wanted to make. We take PRIDE in creativity, and believe whether a child’s involved or an adult… creativity deserves RESPECT/homage! What @kimkardashian (Kanye west) are doing with their daughter… with the inspiration of ZaZa & our family in mind is okay… we not mad BUT

PLS SHOW LOVE AND SUPPORT TO THE ORIGINAL FIRST!!! We admire Kanye west, and adore his journey. However, we don’t wanna feel like our daughter’s journey in the world of entertainment is being STIFLED .

Kim Kardashian replied to the post:

“We love you, North is a huge fan and records in the studio all the time with her dad and is inspired by ZaZa and loves Lay Lay too! Todays performance of North’s remix of ZaZa’s song was something she asked to do at the last minute and a complete surprise. I didn’t mean to not give credit where credit was due. Would love for the girls to meet soon”

That’s when Tinashe chimed in and replied to Kardashian’s comment:

“North wishes”

Kardashian/Jenner family friend and singer Justine Skye was one of the first to respond to Tinashe with,

“you mad?”

Tinashe seemed to respond to any criticism she received from comment.

She also addressed the criticism in a tweet and reiterated that she was kidding.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian and ZaZa’s parents made amends.
