However, Glover’s album was not uploaded on any of the popular streaming services, but streamed via a website called DonaldGloverPresents.com. The link to the site was retweeted by Glover’s manager, Fam Rothstein via reposting from Twitter. Since, the link has been removed, and Fam Rothstein’s Twitter account has been deleted.
No information on Glover’s new release, even song titles was immediately given with the downloading the album. The website features a four-panel illustration depicting a crowd of people in the middle of an apparent riot.

As previously reported, during his performance at the 2017 Governor’s Ball, Glover announced that he would be retiring his “Childish Gambino,” after one more album. It was a decision he later expanded upon in an interview with Huffington Post,
“There’s nothing worst than like a third sequel, like a third movie and we’re like, ‘again?’ You know, I like it when something’s good and when it comes back there’s a reason to come back, there’s a reason to do that.”

He added,
“Like I feel like there’s gotta be a reason to do things and I always had a reason to be punk. Being punk just always felt really good to me and we always looked at ‘Atlanta’ as a punk show and I feel like the direction I would go with Childish Gambino wouldn’t be punk anymore.”
Glover’s unexpected release marks his first project since 2016’s “Awaken, My Love!” In 2018, Glover swept the Grammys with his “This Is America,” hit which took home both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
His most recent release was 2019’s “Mood 4 Eva,” a collaboration with Beyonce and Jay-Z for The Lion King: The Gift companion album.
