Rihanna’s Dad Had Coronavirus, Singer Sent Him A Ventilator: I Thought I Was Going To Die
Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has tested positive for coronavirus. According to reports, the 32-year-old singer’s dad, who lives in Barbados, was very ill and suffered high fevers. Reportedly, Rihanna sent a ventilator to Mr. Fenty and checked in on him constantly.
He says,
“My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day. I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn.”
Mr Fenty was admitted to the Paragon Isolation Center for 14 days and didn’t need to use the ventilator. He has since fully recovered from the virus.
Rihanna has been publicly giving back to help for the pandemic. Earlier this month, Jay-Z’s organization, the Shawn Carter Foundation, donated with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation for a $2 million gift.
The money will go toward: the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles, The Fund for Public Schools, The American Civil Liberties Union, and the New York Immigration Coalition.

The organization tweeted Tuesday (March 31),
“Thank you. @S_C_’s @shawncartersffor joining us to give a combined $2 million to @MayorsFundLA@TheFundforPS@ACLU @thenyicfor COVID-19 response supporting undocumented workers, children of frontline healthworkers & first responders, & incarcerated, elderly & homeless people.”
Jay-Z’s foundation also spread the news on Twitter.

Rihanna’s foundation previously announced a $5 million donation.

Rihanna has also donated for protective equipment.
