Gucci Mane Faces Backlash After Tweeting: I Pray My Haters Die Of Coronavirus
Gucci Mane may have taken a tweet too far from over the weekend (April 12th), seemingly wishing for additional deaths atop of the thousands who’s lives have already been taken by the deadly COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
On Sunday, the 40-year-old rapper took to his Twitter to post his usual early morning motivational tweet. However, this week, the Atlanta rapper took it a step further wishing death by asking for his “haters,” to contract the deadly disease.
Gucci shared a similar post on Instagram while he also used this controversial message to celebrate the Easter holiday.
Soon after, Gucci faced online backlash – some noting that it was in bad taste, and others pointing out that the timing couldn’t have been worse, as he made the comment on Easter.

Typically, Gucci shares a much more positive outlook on Twitter prior to his insensitivity tweet from Sunday. In fact, just last week Gucci posted a few motivating tweets that seem polar opposites to coronavirus tweet.
At the time of writing his controversial tweet, over a half a million cases have been confirmed with more than 20,000 American deaths have been accounted for by the deadly pandemic.
While millions of Americans are under a “Stay at Home,” orders from coast-to-coast, more than 100,000 deaths are expected in the U.S., according to reports.
