When it comes to true love, John Boyega knows what he can’t do without.
Even though it’s not an experience he’s encountered yet, John Boyega has a strong idea of what characteristics he needs in his soulmate. One major factor his lucky lady must possess is a strong Christian faith. It might seem like an uncommon concept for some but it’s a lifestyle John Boyega has lived his entire life.
Growing up in a two-parent household with a minister father cemented the yearn for a partner with deep religious ties. Witnessing his parents’ healthy, life-long relationship only serves as validation that his criteria in a companion are right on track. (So basically, don’t expect John to be as committed as Kylo was to Rey if you’re not a child of the Lord.)
He said,
“My mum and dad have been together for 25 years, so that’s the system to follow. It’s nice to survive with your companion by your side. I’m sure it’s a good thing. But I’ve never experienced it. I do know, however, that she’s got to be Christian.”
On the other hand, the Coronavirus pandemic seems to have the Star Wars actor looking at the value of time in a totally different way. Social distancing has drawn Boyega closer to his impatient side and while he still wants a top-notch Christian queen, he’s not looking to waste any time in taking it too slow. A fan tweeted:
“If we survive this pandemic, we’re skipping flirting stages and straight to baecations. You can tell me your favorite color on the plane. Life is too short.”
John was sure to reply with,
“Facts.”
Another Tweeter followed up disagreeing with the actor’s encouragement to go full speed ahead in your next romantic journey, but the 27-year-old wasn’t having it.
