Issa Rae To Fans Who Want Longer ‘Insecure’ Episodes: I Don’t Know What To Tell You
Actress, writer and producer Issa Rae has a lot to celebrate. Her popular HBO television series ‘Insecure’ recently came back for season 4. The comedy/drama has received critical acclaim since its 2016 debut. The 35-year-old Issa Rae planned a series of events around the ‘Insecure’ season 4 premiere which she called a ‘virtual block party’.
Issa Rae was joined by members of the cast for a special Q&A session, followed by a live Instagram DJ set with Zaytoven on the show’s ‘Insecure’ account. Things then moved to Twitter for a live watch party capped off by a surprise live Instagram performance by JiDENNA.
But with all of the show’s success, don’t expect it to go from 30 minutes to an hour anytime soon. Issa Rae responded to a question about extending the show with a humorous retweet See her response below.
“Issa, why don’t you make #InsecureHBO more than 30mins?”

Earlier on social media, she responded to the same question about viewers wanting hour-long episodes.
In addition to ‘Insecure’ Issa has other film projects on the way. Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae star in the long-awaited romantic comedy ‘The Lovebirds’ streaming on Netflix May 22. The movie’s theatrical release was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
