Megan Thee Stallion & Tory Lanez Spotted Hanging Out on IG Live Together

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion and singer Tory Lanez have been quarantining together on IG live. The two rappers were seen answering questions in the comments of the live video and generally having a good time together.

Their attempt to learn some of the latest dance crazes comes just after Megan thee Stallion won her latest legal battle against Carl Crawford’s label 1501 Certified Entertainment.

A judge ruled that the case will go to court, and not to arbitration as her former boss Carl Crawford had hoped. In early March, Megan Thee Stallion revealed that 1501 allegedly attempted to prevent her from releasing her latest EP, “Suga,” after she asked to renegotiate her contract.

The “Big Ole Freak” rapper, then, sued Carl Crawford – 1501’s founder – for nearly $1 million, in which a Texas judge granted her a temporary restraining order. According to Megan Thee Stallion and her legal counsel, 1501 Certified Entertainment had only paid the 25-year-old $15,000 after she earned nearly $7 million in revenue. Carl Crawford vehemently denies these claims, and blamed Jay Z and RocNation – Megan’s new management – for the lawsuit:

“Everybody in the industry knows this is what Jay-Z and Roc Nation do: They come in, the find the smallest things wrong with the problem — because there weren’t any problems before she left — and then she says that I didn’t want to negotiate? Ok, tell everybody your definition of negotiating. Your definition is, ‘OK. I’m going to send Suge Knight’s old lawyers to come in, and it’s a stick-up…’ Of course, I’m like, ‘This isn’t a negotiation. This is a robbery.’”

But courts are seemingly siding with Megan when it comes to her contract. Harris County Judge Robert Schaeffer denied both of Carl Crawford’s requests to stay the case and seek mediation and arbitration. The lawsuit will go to court. Megan’s lawyer commented:

“We are obviously very happy with the court’s decision and look forward to litigating this case.”

Meanwhile, during the coronavirus pandemic, Tory Lanez has been keeping everyone entertained on his Quarantine Radio Instagram lives. The King of “Quarantine Radio,” Tory Lanez just recently dropped an official video for “Who Needs Love,” a track taken from his recently released mixtape The New Toronto 3.

Tory’s Quarantine Radio on Instagram Live has also brought the rapper success in more ways than one. We also reported that he confirmed one fan’s stats that his Instagram follower numbers have gone up by 2.2 million within the last month. And his YouTube subscribers have nearly doubled with a 90% increase.
