Jill Scott On Fellatio Microphone Video Surfacing Years Later: I Know Who Did It & I Know Why They Did It

Jill Scott and Erykah Badu broke the Internet with their Verzuz battle on Instagram live last week.

Jill sat down with Tigger for V103 Atlanta’s Verizon Artist Lounge.  The two talked about a variety of topics, but the conversation kicked off first with how she feels Verzuz went, and the memes that accompanied the battle.

It’s safe to say that Jill Scott is still on cloud nine from the battle, and went in detail about how the live even came to fruition:

“Heather Lowery from Femme It Forward suggested this, and I kinda was like nah, I didn’t like the “battle” energy of it, that kinda turned me off. I didn’t you know, I don’t want to fight. So I let it go, then I got a call from Erykah, she was like ‘Yo! they wanna do this battle, this Verzuz,’ and I was like, it sounds like it could be good, the energy just has to be right.”

She added that it was Erykah Badu who talked her into the idea of the celebration:

“She says ‘What if we celebrate each other?’ I said that’s what I’m talking about! Let’s celebrate each other, let’s got for it. You don’t last this long then want to destroy others.”

Jill Scott made headlines back in 2018 when a video of her surfaced performing an imaginary sexual act on a man, using the mic to seductively entertain the audience.  Tigger asked her did it bother her that the fellatio video became so big. Her response seemed to allude that a person intentionally leaked the video:

“Yea, yea I didn’t expect it I was really really caught off guard, that had been apart of my show off and on depending on the audience, and what I wanted to say that night. It had been apart of the show for maybe about 5 years, depending. So I was really surprised, but I know who did it.  And I know why they did it.”

She wouldn’t give up the name, saying:

“I can’t I won’t even give them … be gone!”
