NeNe Leakes B-Day Message To Kandi Burruss: I Won’t Let The Fake Beef YOU Made Up Stop Me From Wishing You A Happy Birthday

Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s NeNe Leakes wanted castmate Kandi Burruss to have a happy birthday, but not too happy. The two are embroiled in a nasty social media beef that is playing out on the RHOA season 12 reunion special, but that didn’t stop NeNe Leakes from kicking off Kandi Burruss’ birthday with a cryptic birthday salute. She posted this message on Instagram:

“I will NOT let the fake beef YOU made up to stop me from wishing you a Happy Birthday Kandi.”

NeNe Leakes continued:

“Everybody go wish @kandi a Happy Birthday then tune into #RHOA to watch Kandi have the fakest, want some smoke, beef wit Nene segment at 8pm TONIGHT on @bravotv #happybirthdaynumber2 #forgetable”

Yikes! Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss celebrated with an outdoor social distancing party called #kandismaskonbday. As COVID-19 would have it, all of her guests wore protective masks.

A few familiar faces among Kandi’s guests included her Xscape groupmates Tamika Scott and Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta‘s Rasheeda Frost, DJ A-One, and Shamea Morton.

However, just as Kandi’s 2009 song suggests – she flew above NeNe’s drama and tearfully thanked her fans, friends, and family for their birthday love. Kandi said this on IGTV:

“Today has been an amazing birthday. Honestly, I didn’t really think I was gonna be able to do anything for my birthday because of the circumstances…all of the love everybody has shown me today is very much appreciated. I just wanna say thank you so much to my husband for putting together this excellent surprise party today…it did my heart some good to see a lot of my close friends that I haven’t seen in months…for my 44th year of life, I just wanna say that I just wanna continue to be happy. I’m happy to see another year of life…I was so happy to see some of my family members today. My daughter Riley and Ace made me cakes today- from scratch! Everybody who sent me messages- it meant a lot to me…I guess I’m putting love out in the world, ’cause I got a lot back today. And I’m happy.”

But Kandi Burruss had her own special clap-back for NeNe. Her protective mask read this in light of her RHOA reunion special:

“I’m embedded in your motherf*cking brain, b*tch!”

Kandi spoke the iconic phrase during her screaming match with Nene.
