Lala Recalls 1st Time She & Carmelo Anthony Met In Sweet Birthday Message

For the past year actress Lala Anthony and her NBA star husband, Carmelo Anthony have been working out their issues concerning their marriage and co-parenting their 13-year-old son, Kiyan.

The couple seemed to be heading for divorce after Carmelo Anthony was spotted vacationing with a mystery woman in the south of France. It was said that he was romantically involved with the woman he was with, but Carmelo Anthony shut down those reports in a social media video.

Lala Anthony and Carmelo seem to have grown closer together as they are now reportedly quarantining together. Lala had this to say about their living situation:

“It’s actually been smooth sailing. And to see my son so happy, even in the midst of what’s going on in the world- to me is what’s important and what matters to me. I feel really great about that.”

Things seem to have improved even more as she wished him a happy birthday on Instagram Friday (May 29th) while reminiscing on how they first met.

“Happy Birthday @carmeloanthony I met you when u were 20 yrs old lying to me telling me you were 21 until we went to Vegas & your ass couldn’t gamble ?? Today you were blessed to celebrate 36 years young.Time flies for real..it’s so crazy?? Thank you for being a blessing in our lives. I love you.”

The couple married in 2010 and split in April 2017 around the time that rumors started to circulate that Carmelo allegedly fathered a child with a woman named Mia Burks. They reunited in 2018 but were still rumored to be living apart. It looks like things are turning around for them now!
