Quavo Praises Girlfriend Saweetie For Showing Girls There’s A Better Way To Succeed: You Don’t Have To Be A Stripper!

Quavo, one-third of the popular Atlanta-based rap trio the Migos, is gushing over his rapper girlfriend, Saweetie! During a recent interview with Page Six he said that she is a voice for pretty college girls who don’t have to resort to stripping:

I think she’s bringing something very special to the game. She speaks for the pretty college girls that are taking the regular route. You don’t have to be a stripper, you don’t have to be a bartender, you don’t have to take the Instagram model route.

Speaking of education, Quavo recently celebrated earning his high school diploma and in a talk with fellow rapper Lil Wayne, he mentioned the possibility of attending college.

Also in his celebratory Instagram post where Quavo was photographed wearing a blue cap and gown, he asked for suggestions for colleges he should consider attending!

Quavo‘s girl Saweetie is also a graduate and recently earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Southern California.

Saweetie‘s not only a college grad and a double-platinum artist as a result of her song “My Type.” The 26-year-old star is also known for her eye for fashion and has recently collaborated with Morphe Cosmetics to create a cosmetics line named Backstage with Saweetie.

Quavo is obviously very proud of the success of his lady and says:

I feel like she’s speaking for those nice, teenage girls who listen to their parents and go to school. She’s ready, she’s grown as an artist. Y’all gonna see. I’m excited for her.
