Lea Michele – HelloFresh Ends Partnership w/ ‘Glee’ Star After Samantha Ware Slams Her, Lea Apologizes
Update #2 (June 3rd): Lea Michele is now feeling the pain of her former “Glee” co-star slammed her on Twitter.
Meal delivery service HelloFresh has parted ways with Lea Michele just days after Samantha Ware’s claims.
It tweeted,
“HelloFresh does not condone racism nor discrimination of any kind. We are disheartened and disappointed to learn of the recent claims concerning Lea Michele. We take this very seriously and have ended our partnership with Lea Michele, effective immediately.”
Lea Michele has also apologized in a statement on Instagram.
Original Story: “Glee” actress Samantha Marie Ware has accused her former co-star, 33-year-old Lea Michele, of bullying her while the two worked together on the Fox series.
Recently, Lea Michele tweeted to show her support for the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd, who died while in the custody of Minneapolis police officers. Samantha Ware responded to the initial tweet two days later and claimed that Lea Michele verbally abused her while they worked together on season 6 of “Glee.” In her tweet Samantha Ware said:
“LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISON GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET. I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF TOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD “SH*T IN MY WIG!” AMONGST OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS THAT MADE ME QUESTION A CAREER IN HOLLYWOOD…”
Lea Michele was one of the stars of the hit show Glee and played Rachel Berry. Samantha Ware joined the cast in 2015 for its final season and had a recurring role as Jane Hayward.
A few of Glee’s former cast members, including Amber Patrice Riley and Alex Newell, responded to the allegations and appeared to show support towards Samantha Marie Ware.
Dabier Snell who also appeared on Glee called out Lea Michele and alleged that she wouldn’t allow him to sit at the table with the other co-stars.
Jeanté Godlock who now stars on Netflix original series Daybreak claimed that during her time as an extra on “Glee”, Lea Michele would refer to the background characters as cockroaches.
This isn’t the first time that someone has called out Lea Michele. In 2016 Naya Rivera mentioned how hard it was to work with Lea Michele on Glee in her memoir entitled ‘Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up’.
“If I’d complained about anyone or anything, she’d assume I was b*tching about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually, it got to the point where she didn’t say a word to me for all of season 6.”
Following Samantha Marie Ware’s response tweet Lea Michele trended on twitter with many people weighing in on the allegations against her.
