Tekashi 6ix9ine & Akon Are Working On “Locked Up” Part 2 [VIDEO]
Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially teamed up with Akon to collaborate on a new sequel to the Grammy nominated singer’s 2004 breakout single ‘Locked Up.’
Over the weekend (June 7th), Akon shared their surprising collaboration together with a short clip of the pair seemingly recording the unofficial new track which features Tekashi’s own verses and Akon on thehook. In the clip, the pair’s chemistry definitely stands out as Tekashi sings along while rocking his signature rainbow hairstyle in a ponytail. For the sequel, Tekashi raps:
“Thinking ’bout the things that I did/Got me thinking, like, why the fuck I did that?/Got me wishing that I could take it all back. Fighting with these demons/Barely even eating/Barely even sleeping/This shit got me tweekin’/Fighting with my lawyers for a better offer/Just want to see my daughter.”
Tekashi is using his controversial past for the hit song’s sequel to tell his story of entering the rap game and ultimately getting arrested in connection with Blood gang activity.
